Presentation to a Council Meeting

Presentations are received at every Council meeting. They can be on any matter on the agenda.

All meetings are livestreamed and recorded. Watch at https://webcast.qprc.nsw.gov.au/

Presentations via Zoom

If you are making your presentation via Zoom after you register you will be provided with the meeting link and password. You will be asked to join the meeting from 5:30pm, however you will be in a "waiting room" and unable to speak until you have been accepted into the meeting. This happens when the Mayor adjourns to the public forum and calls each speaker.

You will be given three minutes to address the Councillors. At the end of your speaking time you will be removed from the meeting and can continue to watch via https://webcast.qprc.nsw.gov.au. If the speaker tries to re-enter the meeting they will go to the "waiting room" and not permitted into the meeting.

If you are making a presentation in person you will need to limit your speech to three minutes. This is approximately 420 words. Once you reach the three minute mark the Mayor will advise you that your time limit has been reached.

  1. If you are lodging a written presentation these must be submitted by 12pm (noon) on the Tuesday before the meeting.

  2. If you are making a presentation via Zoom you must register by 12pm (noon) on the Wednesday of the meeting.

The Zoom meeting link will be emailed on the Wednesday afternoon of the meeting.
