Agreement to hire a portable metered hydrant standpipe

Fees - 2025/26 Financial Year

Initial admininistration fee $87.00
Security deposit - first standpipe $1,070.00
Security deposit - additional standpipe $268.00
Annual access fee (charged quarterly) $749.00
Standpipe water usage per KL $6.90 
Recycled water usage per KL $5.93


Terms and Conditions

  1. I acknowledge and agree to pay Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council for thesupply of water as recorded on the assigned portable hydrant standpipe meter at arate per Kilolitre determined by Councils Fees and Charges.

  2. I acknowledge Council will require an annual fee of $749.00 (as per Fees andCharges) to be paid quarterly at the time of the quarterly usage readings. 

  3. I acknowledge the quarterly readings will be required at the beginning of March, June,September & December. I will supply my standpipe on an agreed date for photos to betaken by a QPRC representative. 

  4. I undertake to return the standpipe in the same good condition in which I received it andagree to pay for any repair/replacement if damaged whilst it is in my care. 

  5. I agree to abide by the ‘Conditions of Use’ and any operating instructions given by theQueanbeyan Palerang Regional Council representatives. 

  6. If my standpipe is to be used for the cartage of potable water, I agree to meet therequirements of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council’s Environmental Health team.And continue to abide by these regulations.
