Information for the Applicant
This form may be used to apply for approval for the construction of a rural entrance and for the associated Section 138 (Roads Act 1993) certificate.
The construction contractor must have approval from Council prior to commencing any works.
Pre-seal inspections must be booked at least 24 hours prior to bitumen sealing (as required). A final inspection is required once works are completed and site is made good.
A fee will be imposed for assessment of this application, pre-seal (as required) inspection and completion of construction works. A security bond will be applicable to the Section 138 application.
Rural entrance construction shall be in accordance with QPRC D13 Vehicular Access Design Specification and Standard Drawings QPRC-SD-101 and QPRC-SD-111 (depending on sealed or unsealed road location). https://www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Building-Development/Engineering-Design-and-Construction-Specifications
Any damage to the existing road surface and pavement, table drains, mitre drains, culverts, guideposts and signs shall be made good at full cost to applicant.
Council inspections are mandatory for
formation prior to bitumen sealing, and
post completion.
Inspections will require a minimum of 24 hours notice.
A fee will be imposed for the required inspections payable prior to the commencement of construction works. Please refer to QPRC Fees & Charges.
Any repeat inspections for unsatisfactory or incorrect work will incur additional inspection fees. Please refer to QPRC Fees & Charges.
